We will provide you information about various Scouting\u00a0NZ policies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">At times, we have a waiting list for some sections. When space becomes available in the section\u00a0you will be contacted by the leader and can organise a time to come along for a trial period of three\u00a0weeks.\u00a0To be invested into a section your child needs to complete the requirements for a section badge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For example to be invested as a Kea Scout, your child needs to do the Kea section badge. The\u00a0section badges are very straight forward and involve activities such as hearing about the history of\u00a0scouting, and learning the Kea\/Cub\/Scout promise. Leaders will make sure that all the activities for\u00a0the section badge are covered as part of the normal programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An investiture ceremony is then held where your child promises to follow the Scout Law, and is\u00a0presented with their scarf, woggle, and group\/zone badges. Hopefully by this time you will have\u00a0sourced a uniform shirt.
